Calgary’s Signage Pros

Easy Maintenance

Easy maintenance is one of the first things we design for. Your pylon signage is subject to weather, grime, and natural wear—and we build it to last.

Optimal Visibility

We build for visibility, generating significant pedestrian or motor traffic for maximum impressions. Get your signage out front and louder than the competition.

Great Curb Appeal

The first impression of a building can’t be underestimated, but neither can pylon signage. Striking signage sets the look of your physical location, making for excellent curb appeal.

Bower Place

After working with the great team of people at Bower Place Mall in Red Deer for a number of years, they approached us in 2019 to update their pylon signage. The previous signs were fairly old and dated, but we were able to use the existing foundation and poles to make the new design work cost effectively.

The shaped wood finishing and illumination features on the sign required a good deal of work to figure out but it turned out to be one of the nicest signs we’ve ever constructed.

Shawnessy Village / Glenmore Square

Choice Properties approached us looking to update their pylon signs on-site with distinctive ‘Choice Properties’ style of signs. Soon after, we had a deal for Shawnessy Village (5 Pylons) and Glenmore Square (2 Pylons). We removed all of the older signs on-site and dug up a lot of existing concrete—coordinating all of the power from different buildings, trenching it to the signs. We poured new concrete and worked with each tenant on their new graphics, so when we installed the signs, they’d have tenant graphics. All went very smoothly, complete with uniform channel letters on backers for many of the Glenmore Square stores.

Everything You Need to Know About Pylon & Monument Signs

Monument signs are free-standing structures built apart from the rest of the building. They are usually two metres or less, solid, wide, and come in many materials. Pylon signs are similar, but they’re taller, sometimes well over two metres.

The choice of material is totally up to the client using our services. Our in-house fabrication team can draw on a variety of materials. For CNC letters, there’s gator foam, PVC, MDF, aluminum, acrylic, and aluminum composite panel. You can also get signage in vinyl and sheet metal.

Pylon and monument signs are freestanding, so they’ll need a patch of ground, usually two metres squared. If the property is multi-tenant, it’ll be a patch of land in the property’s common area. With approval, you might be able to put an easement on roadside City of Calgary property.

The cost of pylon and monument signs totally depends on what package you select. The height of the structure, the materials, the labour hours calculated, and whether you’ve chosen in-house design services all make a difference.

Pylon signs come in a few shapes and sizes. It all depends on preferred dimensions and height requirements. Monument signs can be larger and more spread out, and they can have differently sized foundations. Whatever your vision and objectives, we can help you decide which type(s) will serve your needs.

We creatively and cost-effectively design and build your custom sign with durable materials and quality workmanship within the process. Once we’ve crafted your sign, we professionally install it as permitted by current building codes.
